Stacey Jean Nelson
Family and relationships were so important to her. Stacey’s family was large but Stacey’s heart was so loving that she had enough love for Everyone.
The Stecher Family showed their love for her everyday. Stacey’s bond with the family was strong and beautiful. Her love for her Mom-Mom and Poppy was as deep as was their love for her. Poppy meant the world to Stacey! One day he heard her crying and going into an asthma attack. He told her to come to him and she went right away. He held her, calmed her and she fell fast asleep in his arms. What a great Poppy he was.
Precious Love
From day one, Stacey would stick two fingers upside down in her mouth and suck on them..Seeing Stacey daily, at Mom-Moms, her Uncle David said she would end up having crooked teeth. At the age of 2, it was decided to put a sock on her hand to keep her from sucking her two fingers. After one BIG discussion with Mom-mom Stecher, she finally did put the sock on Stacey’s hand the following day. It was a success! Stacey ended up loving the socks on her hands and would take her socks off her feet and put them on her hands herself. Who would have thought?!
At the age of three Stacey began pre-school – she cried every day for over a week staight. Finally, Sharon received a note from her teacher stating the crying had stopped! AMEN! Good ‘ol Mom-mom picked her up each day at noon and rode her home in the basket of her tri-cycle.
Precious Love
She loved her late Uncle Jr and Aunt Barbara, late Aunt Susie and late Uncle Bill and late Uncle David and Aunt Carol. Her Aunt Shirley and Uncle Vernon were dearly loved because of the close bond she had with their children: Buddy and wife, Mary / David and girls Mia, Nina, and Brie/ Jesse, her husband Adrian, and son Luciano. Stacey would always look forward to going to the boardwalk with Jesse, Adrian and Luciano. They were not only cousins they were very good friends. Much time was spent on the farm getting into and out of trouble!

Stacey always loved and treasured her time boating with her Dad, Bob Nelson. Stacey also shared the love of animals and she even grew to love his ferrets. Stacey was an absolute animal lover – Her first pet a cat, Cutzen. Her favorite dog, a boxer, Jezebel and many others throughout her life. She always had a beloved pet by her side.

Stacey dearly loved her 3 sisters:
Dawn, her half sister, and Stacey became closer as they grew older. They communicated often. Dawn was insistent on taking the flight from Mississippi to spend much needed time with Stacey.
Stacey and her sister, Sheryl ,grew to have a very caring, supportive and loving relationship. Sheryl will forever hold Stacey close in her heart.
Rebecca Buyarski, her step-sister, had a great time growing up together on the family farm and summer vacations. One Summer vacation in Ocean City, Rebecca got upset being in a strange home and she began to cry. Her Dad did not understand her reaction and grew impatient, which made her cry even more! Stacey went to Rebecca, took her to another room and calmed her down. She had that way about her. She always had a patient way with children and spent much time babysitting.
Precious Love
There was a special man in Stacey’s life. Tim Moran was there for Stacey to take her to appointments, help her with the dogs and in their home. Tim stood by her and helped her transition to a very peaceful passing.
Precious Love
She loved her stepdad Bob Dupper aka Daddy-O, for loving her as if she were his own. Stacey was 10 years old when Bobby first started seeing her mom. He’ll never forget seeing her peering around the corner to catch a glimpse of him! It was an instant connection with Bob and Sharon’s girls.
Precious Love
Stacey and her Mom, Sharon Dupper, shared many interests and their bond was a treasure to both of them. So many talks about school, graduation, jobs and success in their lives. They spoke of it all! When Stacey moved to Texas, they would talk daily and many talks lasted well into late night. One time Stacey told Patty Reese, “Mom is more than a mom, she’s my BEST friend!”

I am so very sorry for your loss , your beautiful sister Sheryl, and I extend that, to your entire family😔 What a beautiful Soul, I had the pleasure of meeting Stacey at Sheryl’s house, the last time she came to visit. I remember the one night when she cut your hair for you, it took several hours, as you two laughed and joked around and made it your night in. As we were outside on the porch for a bit. Hold them beautiful memories close dear, as that is Stacy’s legacy..Stacy expects nothing less from you. I’m here if you need me❣️❣️❣️❣️
