Roseann T. Kurtz (nee Chuplis)

The hunger for love is always deeper than the hunger for bread. ~Mother Teresa. At Roseann’s home there was never a shortage of either. Her house in Riverside was known as “the soup kitchen”, where a warm meal seemed to always be ready for anyone that came by. But the food was merely a reflection of the way she viewed life, she deeply cared for everyone she knew. But, above all else, she loved her family. She would rather do without to see they had the better things in life. When blessed with a grandson she dropped everything to help raise him, and was happy to do it. Truth be told, to have a house full of family and a cup of tea in hand was all she ever wanted. However, she occasionally changed the scenery to Chips Folly Campground where she traded the tea for a beer. She loved reading and often found the time to write stories of her own. In 2011 she published her book, Guiding Ally. The book remind readers that life does not stop at death but continues on and touches everyone in its path.
While in the Ninth Grade a fellow classmate named Daniel developed a schoolboy crush on Roseann. At a church fair on July 4, 1975 he was able to win her over and shortly after high school the two were wed. Their 34 year marriage was blessed by their children: Tiffany Kurtz of Little Egg Harbor and Dan (Jaime) Kurtz of Delanco as well as by their grandchildren: Joey, Mackenzie and Danny, Jr. who will be born later this year. Roseann is also survived by her mother, Josephine Chuplis and her brother, Frank Chuplis, both of Riverside.
Come celebrate Roseann’s 53 wonderful years (Oct. 18, 1960-June 30, 2014) Wednesday at 5:30 PM at the Dobbins United Methodist Church, 330 Union Ave., Delanco, where the memorial service will begin at 6. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
