Ronald Govia

Ronald Govia

Ronald always went out of his way helping people. He was fun loving, loved to laugh and always joked around. Though he was the oldest of 6 siblings, he joked to his brothers that he looked younger than them. His Grandchildren lived out of state, so when they had breaks he’d insist they all visit. His T.V was usually tuned to the Game Show Network: Family Feud was his favorite. Ronald was often found walking his little Pomeranian, NeeNee. He loved to travel with his family and took many cruises to the islands, but his favorite destination was definitely Las Vegas. Ronald worked at DeLuca’s Bakery in Riverside for 29 years.

In Bermuda he met his wife of 17 years, Katherine. Ronald is survived by his daughter, Rachel Veachem- Govia ; also survived by step-children James and (wife) Sonia, Lawrence and (wife) Lisa, Regina Sutton and (husband) Sylvester, Clifton, Daniel, Christopher Thomas and; adopted step daughter Kianne Trott and step son, Mark Nottingham; his mother, Kathleen Lovell; brothers, Wendell (Lynndell) and Vincent; sisters, Terri Lovell-Yarde, Kathyann Lovell-Roberts, and Laura Lovell- Grant; grandfather of 9; great grandfather of 6; and is survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and Godmother, Ella Seymour.

Come celebrate 60 years on Thursday 11 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Interment private at the convenience of the family.

I was saddened to read of the loss of your loved one. I personally
experienced the grief of losing my loved ones. However, there is
comfort to know the Holy Scriptures gives the assurance
that God will end death, pain and sorrow. Rev 21:4
For the ones we have lost in death, there is a promise for them by
means of the resurrection. John 5:28,29
I hope this brings comfort to you and your family.

My Prayers are with you and your family Katherine. Ronald will be greatly missed. Our neighborhood just won’t be the same without Ron. We could always count on Ronald for help with most anything, and never would a chance to converse with the neighbors pass him by. May the memory of joyful times together help you and your family through this difficult time of your loss. . ~Blessings
