rnOf Delran, died at home Sunday.rnHe was born in Camden and later moved to Delran. He was a Marine and a served in Vietnam. He worked for many years as a meat cutter, most recently for Shop Rite in Princeton. He enjoyed cooking, was impeccably dressed, enjoyed physical fitness and karate and loved the shore. He was an avid reader.rnHe is survived by Marie (nee Deluca), his wife of 34 years. Their marriage was blessed by two children Michael and Nicole Gimello Hoffman and a granddog, Maxwell. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Goldberg and many nieces and nephews. rnCome celebrate 66 great years Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Rick was a Marine who served his country from 1964-1968. He fought in the Vietnam War and received numerous metals including a purple heart. After the Marines Rick became a meat cutter for 40 years. He met and married Maria and moved to Delran. They were married over 34 years. He raised two wonderful children, Nicole and Michael, who he adored. Rick cherished his family and extended family. He loved being in Ocean City, NJ for summer vacations with them. He was a generous person with a kind heart. He fought a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer and never once complained.rnrnToday we celebrate the life of a beautiful person inside and out.rn

    I was a Marine and served a year and a half with Roccornin the Philippines and we became good friends. I have many pictures of us together. I remember the glow and smiles on his face when he mentioned his Mother or his sister. Maby his sister can remember sending Rocco ( That Lovin Feelin ) Album . I have Cherished these and many more memories for many years. I am Very Sorry to discover this Very Sad news. My heart goes out to his Family.
