Robert Hunter Gould III

He was quiet but strong; even during his difficult times Bob never complained and his family knew they could always lean on him. He was handy and could assemble anything. Earlier years found him working at Hoeganaes and Riverside Ribbon. Bob had the amazing ability to keep his hooptie on the road: he’d diagnose the problems his ’85 Tempo was having, purchase his own parts then take it to the shop. Spare times found him laboring on his lawn and bushes and watching the Phils and Eagles. He’d provide constant updates to the game and maybe roll his eyes at a blown play. With a $10 voucher and a food coupon he’d be set for the day in Atlantic City. Bob’s Christmas presents delighted everyone: the finest chocolates imported from Belgium and many other exotic gifts. Truth be told all his gifts came from dollar stores, but they were always the highlight of the holidays. Bob knew a shortcut to everywhere; some referred to him as Rand McNally.
The Burlington native had dance moves. He’d use them to win the heart of a Riverside girl, Joan Kakowski. Their 50 year union was blessed by 3 children: Deneen Beatty, Robin Moskwa (Paul) and Scott (Alyson); grandchildren, Nicole Fey, Brittany and Danielle Beatty and Aiden and Abigael Gould; and one great grandchild, Donovan Fey. He is also survived by his brother, Frank “Sonny” Maimone. Bob was pre-deceased by his parents, Robert Hunter Gould II and Doretta Horton. He loved spending time with his cat, Baily and his late dog, Brandy. He

  7. Frank (Sonny) Maimone says:

As Bpbby’s brother, we communicated mostly by email, since I live in Texas, with my 4 children. We, at one time would call each other frequently but, he asked me to not call any more, as, his hearing had deteriorated to the point it was hard for him to carry on a decent telephone conversation. I would send him pictures of the family and he would answer but, for sometime now, he had stopped answering the emails and I never knew of his illness until his son Scott sent me an email, telling me about how sick he was and 2 days later Scott called and let me know, my brother had passed. I was beside myself and didn’t know what to say. It was hard for Scott and me to talk after he informed me of Bobby’s passing.
Bobby and I never had an argument and I will never forget the time he and I hitchhiked from Beverly to Dallas. I loved my brother dearly and I will miss him. I also want to say to Joan, Robin, Deneen and Scott, and their families, how much I am sorry for their loss. I don’t feel there are enough words to express my feeling of his passing………..Sonny
