Regina Cecilia

Regina Cecilia

Through all of life’s trials and tribulations Regina’s first priority was always caring for others. Even on her death bed she managed to get her husband a turkey platter for Thanksgiving. She heaped love on her family and was seen as a mom even to her grandchildren. Everyone came to rely on her calming ways. She could cook just about anything, but Italian food was definitely her specialty. In her spare time she enjoyed soaps, The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, and CSI. About once a month she battled the slots at the Showboat: with a red sweater, red nail polish, and playing a game with red sevens, she nearly always won.rnThrough a friend, a young Regina would meet a man named Joseph Cecilia. Though she was initially taken back by his bald head, he’d eventually win her over. They shared 44 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle, and was “Honey” to her 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.rnCome celebrate 68 caring years, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 478 Cooper Street, Beverly, where there will be a service at 8 p.m. rn

  1. Pastor John Lambert says:

Dear Michele and family. I was sorry to hear of the passing of your mother and grandmother. I know you will miss her, but you can find comfort in knowing to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. So be encouraged and know that God will see you through this most difficult time. We love and are here for you.nPastor John Lambert
