Ramona Ann Alward

Ramona Ann Alward

Ramona Ann Alward, age 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, November 9 th , 2023, at
Jefferson Hospital, Cherry Hill, NJ. She was born May 5, 1959 in Woodbury to parents James “Jim” and
Marjorie (Ray) Boughton. She attended Pitman High School and married Edward Alward. A long time
resident of Pitman she worked locally in warehousing, printing, service, and manufacturing for several
companies nearby including AndBro (Now Bri-Scot Business Park), BF Goodrich, Cardinal Health and
Sony. In 2008 Ramona moved to West Deptford and continued to work for Sony. Her last position at
Edward Brothers Malloy, binding and laminating books, came to an end when the New Jersey division
closed it’s doors.

Ramona was a free spirit and loved nature. Often she was on shift work and she would walk anywhere
there were trees during the day, feeding anything that would venture in her direction. She loved to
dance around the room to the tune of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. She hated to cook so her favorite food was
“take-out” and leftover “take-out”. She did not like to drive so most of her “take-out” was delivered.
Probably a good thing because she was not a great driver. Yet if a neighbor needed something at the
store she would drive them there. She was a good soul….

She is survived by her son, Gregory Alward, grandchildren Dylan, Jude and Autumn, sisters Bernita Potts,
Janine Smith and Beckie Durr, and brother Russell Boughton as well as nieces and nephews.

Come celebrate 64 great years Friday November 17, 1-2 p.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where there will be a 2 p.m. service.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Association would be greatly appreciated.
