Mildred J. Walder

Mildred J. Walder

Mildred knew that the best things in life were simple, honest and delicious. It didn’t take more than a trip to a restaurant to make her smile. And that smile doubled when dessert was served. A slice of lemon meringue pie was as good as it gets. The only thing that came close was an afternoon spent shopping. There was no such thing as having too many dresses. Always a person of deep values, she refused to take part in gossip, you’d be more likely to hear about her favorite meal at Red Lobster. In her younger years, she loved playing cards and enjoyed camping and spending time in Wildwood. The boardwalk was great, the fudge and salt water taffy even better. More recently she was active with the Washington Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Seniors’ Clubs at St. Casmir and Delanco. But with a schedule like clockwork it was rare for her to miss the 7:30 showing of Wheel of Fortune. rnMildred is survived by her daughters Kathleen Smith (Robert, Jr.) of New Egypt, and Joanne Walder of Delanco, her grandchildren Kyle Walder and Robert Smith III, her Aunt Dorothy Epenschied of Riverside, and Aunt Mary Ann Hubbs of Beachwood, NJ, numerous cousins, and had always been close with Kathleen’s in-laws, Jean and Terry Mathews of Forked River.rnCome celebrate 71 wonderful years Tuesday 9-10:30 AM at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 at St. Joseph’s Church, Beverly. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Caring Hospice 102 Gaither Dr., Suite 2, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.rn

Our sincere condolences go out to Mildreds family .I never meet the lady but I’ve met her daughters and if she was as nice as them then she was a very nice person .I only wish I could have got her home painted before she passed .But she is in God’s home now and no home is that beautiful.rnrnFloyd Scottrn”Honey-Do” Services

Millie is and will be sadly missed, the holidays were always a good time getting together and will not seem the same without her.
