Michael Joseph Mullins

Michael Joseph Mullins

He could fit more into 24 hours than most could fit into their week. Mike was a busy guy, but he always took time to put his feet up. He was a Chemistry major at Saint Joseph’s University, but he always leaned toward technology. Everyone in his family had a list of tech issues and looked to Mike to fix them. Mike’s most recent internship found him working at a scientific solutions company. But with a personality that big, the company immediately put him in Customer Service. This may have come from his years in the restaurant business as he’s had every job from bus boy, to waiter, to figuring out the POS system. Mike maintained friendships for life, never losing touch with classmates from Bishop Guilfoyle or Paul VI. With a schedule that busy, your texts may have come at 3 am, but you always knew they’d be coming. In his spare time, he’d head off to the shore, usually North Wildwood but occasionally he was spotted in Ocean City. He’d been preparing for a life of travel. With passport fresh in hand he headed off to England and Ireland, half adventurer, half travel agent. His specialty was Airbnb and navigation with MapQuest. Family was always priority one. Spring breaks found him with his Aunt touring the country or even spending his time doting on his grandparents. He was a movie buff, even starting a club at St. Joe’s so everyone could enjoy. But, of course, he was always known for his service to others. His fraternity Alpha Phi Omega was dedicated to service activities. Mike was his Catholic faith in motion. But if he had one indulgence, it was probably clothing. He was always dressed in his favorite designer duds and probably would have found himself behind the wheel of a Ferrari in the future with a dog in the passenger seat. His asthma may have ended his life too soon, but it certainly never held him back. Mike played a lot of sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, and baseball.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Kathleen; his brothers, Daniel and Zachary; his grandparents, Joseph and Catherine Mullins; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
