Mary Costanzo Colletti

Mary Costanzo Colletti

Her top priority was family. She brought the generations together for parties on her farm. For Mary grandmother was more of a verb than a noun: she chauffeured them, cooked for them, altered their clothes, took them to shows, and let them play dress up with her jewelry. If there was a need, Mary was always there to fill it: she cared for family members when they were sick, planned trips for Mantua Sr. Citizens, was President of the Ladies Aux. to the American Legion and organized dances for Parents without Partners. For a person who loved life’s simple things she had a most unusual nickname, “Hollywood”: she was dressed to the nines when she went out.rnIf you wanted to see her eyes sparkle, you need only to mention her late husband, Benny. They met when he was working on an adjacent farm and married on the 4th of July, 1944 when he was home on leave. Their 43 year marriage was blessed by a daughter, Rita Lopes and her husband, Deacon Joe; grandchildren: Maria Crane, Frank Lopes, Joanne Lopes, MD, and Catrina Yucis; a brother, Sam Costanzo, and 10 great-grandchildren.rnCome celebrate 91 giving years Friday 6 to 8PM and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Daley Life Celebration Studio, 1518 Kings Hwy., Swedesboro. I’m sorry to hear about your loss and pray God will give you many graces now and in times to come. I enjoyed the video which gave me a feeling of your mom’s vitality in life since I have only known her the last 10 years of her life. I can see where Rita and some of the kids get their good looks from. Peace and love, Mary Ellen
