Marjolaine – Frank (nee Vail)

If she knew your favorite food, you could count on it being cooked the next time you stopped by. Having the recipe wasn’t enough to duplicate her cream puffs: only she had the magic touch. At Homestead at Harmony she acted as the unofficial social director with monthly birthday parties and a mega Christmas Party. While in Swedesboro she wore many hats: police matron, Woolwich Fire Department Ladies Auxillary, active member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and she worked as a crossing guard. Her hand held red octagon wasn’t just a stop sign: Marjolaine reminded “her kids” that it could also be used as a paddle. She was also known to buy them coats and hats if they were in need and was always ready with candy to reward good behavior. When she wanted a task completed she hovered over you like a border collie. She never belonged to a church where she wasn’t active in the music ministry. It is certain that today she sings in a heavenly choir.rnShe was wife of the late Elwood and is survived by her daughter, Linda Fournier and a son, Ernest (Leslie), all of West Deptford; three granddaughters and four great-granddaughters.rnCome celebrate 78 spunky years Tuesday 6-8pm at Daley Life Celebration Studio and Wednesday 9-10 am at Lake Tract Bible Church, 650 Tanyard Road, Deptford where there will be a service at 10 am.
