Larry Archut

Larry Archut

While roller-skating Larry learned more than how to keep his balance. That’s how he met his wife, Doris. Perhaps he used the skills he learned as a Marine to chase away all other suitors. rnrnRegardless, they spent 44 years together. Some people have a hard time filling their days after retirement. Not so Larry. There were not enough hours in the day after he left the Philadelphia Electric Co. Fishing, boating, gardening, shooting at the gun range and raising animals became his priority. His menagerie included: a pig, rabbits, fish, and a red fox. rnrnIn addition to his skating partner, Doris (nee Bowen), survivors include a son, Timothy, and daughters: Darlene Archut, Judith Siverd, Loriann Archut, and Cynthia Archut, a brother David Archut, sister Helen Louise McCue, and 10 grandchildren. rnrnCome celebrate 80 “feisty” years Wednesday 6 to 8 PM and Thursday from 9AM at DALEY LIFE CELEBRATION STUDIO, 1518 Kings Hwy., Swedesboro where the Service will be at 11AM. Burial Glo. Co. Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
