James Raymond Leonard III

James “Jimmy” Leonard was taken too soon on 06/22/17. In his 46 years he touched so many with his infectious smile and grand personalized greetings. He loved everyone he knew and always had a warm hello for those he didn’t. A constant companion to his dad, they would make their rounds to favorite spots and farms. When dad passed he continued his routine with “the best mother in the world.” He loved spending time with his family doing his favorite things like hanging at the beach or by the pool, watching airplanes, going to church, Bottos Market, taking walks, pictures or rides to tunnels or bridges. His family extended to his friends at Lifestyles school, Dream Park Riding and Trinity Methodist Church. His twinkling eyes, kind soul and unending joy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James was pre-deceased by his father, James Leonard Jr.,and is survived by mother, Dianne Whitaker, sisters, Barbara (Steve) Ridinger, Dee (Josh) Hackett, and nieces and nephews, Jamie Hackett, Joshua Hackett, Rachel Petrille, Stephanie Petrille, Kristopher Hackett, Daniel Petrille, Brooke Ridinger and Jillian Ridinger and many aunts and uncles.

    Diane, Dee, Barb & Families:
I always felt so special when Jimmy would “allow” me a hug! He was the kindest, sweetest, gentlest soul. This planet is already an emptier place without him. And I am a better person for having known him.
You all are in our thoughts and I can only hope that all of the wonderful memories you have of and with Jimmy will carry you through this difficult time. We are here for you if you need anything.
    Love,
    Joe & Mare

I think of you every day dear brother. I miss your smile and the joy you brought with your hugs. I miss the sound of your voice, and the way we would sneak anything you asked when mom didn’t approve. Every day is a struggle without you’re beautiful positive spirit. I love you and miss you more than you will ever know!
