Harriett “Sis” Barnett

Harriett “Sis” Barnett

Although the facts of life can be very difficult, Sis was steadfast in her ideas on family. Once she made a decision it stuck. Except of course, when grand-babies came into the picture, then she softened. This tenacity gave her the strength to overcome any obstacle. And her sense of humor gave her the ability to laugh at most anything. If she poked fun at you it was always more a compliment than an insult. There was no one she laughed with more than her siblings, Elaine & Bernice. The three were so close that when her sisters moved to Florida, it only made sense for Sis to join them. So much of her family moved to Orange Tree Village in FL she thought of it as Riverside South. She thrived there. With the encouragement of her sister she walked, swam and did all the “Florida” things. She also enjoyed her Find a Words, Crossword puzzles and crocheting.rn rn Sis was wife of the late Walter Kapuscinski and the late Harry Barnett. She was the mother of Karen Rosenberg (Dan) of VA, Kevin Kapuscinski (Wendy) of Browns Mills, Ken Kapuscinski (Alyson) of Willingboro, Kim Slingsby (Gary) of Orange City, FL, Harry Michael Barnett (Barbara) of Browns Mills, Patty Makestad and Brenda Payne, both of Florida, her sisters Elaine Criste and Bernice States and her twin brother Harry Coyle, all of Florida, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.rnSis was predeceased by her brothers James, Joseph, Bernard and William Coyle.rnrnCome celebrate Sis’s 78 years of life (July 2, 1932-Jan. 16, 2011) Saturday 9:30 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where the service will be at 10:30 AM.
