Grace B Fynan

Grace B Fynan

Grace knew that in all matters if she weaved in faith, God would find the thread. Having been raised during the Great Depression, she was always aware that life has its ups and downs. But regardless of what came her way she never doubted the Lord. She made sure to instill this quality in her children, along with her tireless work ethic. While growing up in Riverside, she went to work at the Watchcase Factory as early as she could. Later, after her children were grown, she would move to South Carolina to pursue work at Williamsburg Technical College in Kingstree. But the end of the workday did not see her hands go idle. She loved genealogy and could trace her family back to 1638, and was known for her beautiful counted cross stitch. rn Grace is the wife of the late Earl Fynan and the late Elmer Fynan. She is the mother of: Earl Fynan (Gail) of Riverside, Grace Gardellin (David) of Burlington, Roger Fynan (Malinda) of Georgia and the late James Fynan, grandmother of: Sue Barnes (Paul), the late Kelly Wheatley (the late Jeff), Sean Conaway, Bridget Goldfrit (Joel), Erin Fynan and Caitlin Fynan and great-grandmother of: Jill Snyder (Travis), Robert Alfred, Steven Barone, Nina Barnes, Kieran Goldfrit and was anticipating the soon to be born Declan Goldfrit. She is the sister of: William Taylor (Joan) of Florida, Mildred Fitzgerald of Barrington, Ethel Goshey of Riverside, the late David Taylor, the late Donald Taylor and the late Marion Taylor. Grace is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Catherine Taylor and Helen Taylor. rn Come celebrate Grace’s 88 wonderful years (May 6, 1923-March 16, 2012) Thursday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where the service will be at 10:30 AM.
