Gary Whitehill, Sr.

Gary Whitehill, Sr.

According to Oscar Wilde, “people are either charming or tedious”. Gary would have surely fit into the first category. Armed with his friendly smile and pleasant ways he could win over just about anyone; recently he was the favorite of all his nurses. But, for Gary it was always the simple pleasures that made him happy. Whether he was attending a Phillies game with his brother, taking a trip to LBI with his family, or enjoying a cold Coors Light while relaxing to his classic rock collection; he was happy. And if you were to mention “man hands”, “Kramer’s adopted highway” or the “Soup Nazi” he’d always pick up on the Seinfeld reference. But, perhaps his greatest joy came from sharing a good meal with friends or family. If asked about an event 20 years earlier Gary probably had no recollection of what he wore, but he always knew what was served.rn Gary is survived by his children: Jaime Monds (Brian) of Virginia Beach, VA , Alison Whitehill-Petrelli (Thomas) of Philadelphia and Gary Whitehill, Jr. (Sarah) of Chesapeake, VA and by his grandson, Beck Whitehill. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Whitehill of Rancocas Woods and his former wife Carol Whitehill.rn Come celebrate Gary’s 62 wonderful years (Jan. 14, 1950-Dec. 26, 2012) Saturday from 10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where the service will be at 11:30.
