Frank “Foges” V. Cahill

Frank “Foges” V. Cahill

It has been said that dedication is not what others expect of you, it is what you can give to others. There was no aspect of Foge’s life where he did not show total commitment. Although not the fastest on the high school football team, he showed such heart that the sports department created the Foges Award, rewarding spirit. As a sports fan there was no stat he didn’t know off the top of his head, making his fantasy football team nearly unbeatable. Even something as minor as a 1st grade project on tigers led to a lifetime following the Bengals, and even supporting Ocho Cinco on Dancing with the Stars. As a friend he was nothing if not genuine. He was always there with a helping hand, and if necessary, a hug. But dedication to family was always his highest priority. He came home with every gadget he could find to help relieve his mother’s arthritis, when he went out with his sister he watched over her like a body guard and when he was blessed with a niece he spoiled her every way possible. rn Frank is the son of Pamela of Logan Twp., and the late Frank W. He is survived by his sister Erin Cahill Penot (Johnny) of Logan Twp., his niece and goddaughter Adalynn, his surrogate nieces and nephews through the Penot family and many aunts, uncles and cousins but especially his Aunt Donna and cousin Victor Orio, Uncle Ted Cahill and his family. rn Foges 33 dedicated years ended of natural causes at Cooper Hospital. All are invited to celebrate his life Saturday from 10 AM at Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro where the service will be at Noon. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Frank Cahill Scholarship Fund c/o The Bank 22 Village Center Dr. Logan Twp., NJ 08085.rn

I had the pleasure of being a classmate of Frank’s at Kingsway and played football with him. He was a good guy with a great sense of humor and a kind heart. He truly will be missed by the many other fellow “Dragons”, who were lucky enough to get to know him.

Whether it was defending his beloved Bengals or sharing his irish potatoes on St. Pattys day, I have many memories from Logan through Kingsway. Frank always thought about everyone else first. Although I’m saddened by your death, I truly have been blessed to have known you. May your family find peace in knowing how great a person you were and how many lives you made better.

Frank was the greatest guy. We worked together at Mckesson for many years . We soon realized we had many friends in common. My sister and his Mom were even co-workers.rnrnFrank always made everyone smile and his kindness will not be soon forgotten. I remember when I asked if his sister Erin had her baby. With the brightest smile that lit up his whole face he showed me his cell phone and the beautiful picture of his newborn neice. He was so happy and proud to be Adalynn’s Uncle.rnrnHe also knew how much I loved watching Dancing with the Stars and always gave me articles he would find in the paper. That is what was so great about Frank. When you spoke with him he really listened. rnrnHe will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. rnrnxo Debrnrn

Frank and I share the same birthday, so that always gave us a special connection. He was the kind of person that could warm your heart with his smile and would give you the shirt off his back. I am deeply saddened by the loss of his life. He was like a little brother to me……but having known him was truly a blessing, if only for a short time. Love to the Cahills. xoxo

  12. Drew Rodgers says:

Honest. Genuine. Good-hearted. Unselfish. These are just some of the words that described Frank. I had the honor and privilege of working with Frank for 3 years at McKesson. He was one of the first people to lend a hand in helping me get settled there. He always put the well-being of others before his own. And the man knew more Simpsons and Family Guy trivia than I could hope to learn in a lifetime. Never heard him say a nasty word about anyone, even when it was deserved. I know I will miss him badly. RIP Frank.

  13. Richard Hernandez says:

Frank, sorry to hear that you left us. You were a genuine person and will be missed. God surely has a plan for you. You are now one of his soldiers. Greater things are to come. My condolences to the Cahills and Pinots. God bless you all.

  14. Scott Watson says:

Frankie was an amazing person. He always had a comforting personality. He always had a smile on his face which was contagious When you found yourself down for any reason he would always be the first to say everything is going to be ok and cheer you up instantly. I also enjoyed talking sports with him, man he did know his stuff. He had a great concern for everyone he met. Once I moved to the west coast he still stayed in contact with him. He would also ask me “Scott how’s Cali”? Frankie will be missed but never forgotten!!!
