Estelle Braunstein

Estelle Braunstein

She had an eye for beauty: Stella enjoyed the finer things in life. When she walked into a room, a lady had arrived: always dressed to the nines, hair and makeup perfect. Her home was adorned with an Asian flair. Earlier years found her making jewelry to match upscale dresses for a shop in Philadelphia: the Supremes once called on her talents. But she didn’t limit herself to jewelry: Stella also sold real estate, owned a 7-11 and worked as a salesperson at a bakery. She could move product: if you lingered by a cake too long Stella made sure you took it home. And, if you’d like to learn more, she wrote her autobiography entitled “Stella”, for sale for $15: a steal.

She is the mother of Joanne Anthony (Vincent) and Joseph Schmidt (Rose), grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 7.
