Edna L. Graham

Edna L. (Frech) GrahamrnrnDelanco ResidentrnrnTough times forge solid people. Her youth was spent on her family’s farm on Chester Ave. She learned to keep her family close: family meals were a mandatory bonding time and her home was the hangout for all the neighborhood kids. Her life was always about appreciating the small things: word search puzzles and Ozzie and Harriet type shows. She loved to cook and was known for her pies, especially cherry, rice pudding and her “thrown together” meals. Her deep fried eggplant was a meal in itself. Her grandchildren were at her home more than they were away from it and loved when she’d accompany them to Great Adventure. During WWII a young Elmer Graham was taken POW. For two years Edna didn’t know if he was dead or alive. Upon his return they married. Until his death they’d never be separated again. Their union produced four children: John, Ed, Joe and Mary Ann Timmons; 6 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. rnCome celebrate 92 family centered years Saturday 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, 337 Bridgeboro Street, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. St. Peter Church. Donations to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton NJ 08053 will be appreciated.rn

Thanks for letting us serve your family.rnWe’re glad that we could record the story of your mother waiting for your father’s return home from Germany and her great love of family. If the world shared her priorities we’d be in much better shape.rnPat, Mike and Judy
