Diane Smedley

Diane Smedley

If you were in need, Diane would be there for you with her last dollar. Her home was open to everyone; you knew you’d have a meal and a safe place to stay. She was always looking to improve herself. In her 50’s she earned her bachelor’s degree in hotel management, graduating with honors. She was a great mom, though not the strictest, and she always had a little trinket or planned adventure for her grandchildren. If her T.V was on she’d be checking out CSI, Hawaii 5.0 and anything Disney. She loved the sounds of Billy Joel, The Who and just about any classic rock. Her meatloaf was great because she changed it up over time and she made a mean Shepherd’s pie. Earlier years found her working for Harris Plumbing and Heating.
She is survived by her son, Chris Smedley; grandchildren, Joshua and Sasha; and her siblings, Kimberly (Jay) Fazzino, Angel (Glenn) Smedley, and Victoria (Christopher) Heritage.
Diane’s 60 great years will be celebrated at a later date.

I knew Diane was special way back in 1977, —- she was mischievous and always kind and upbeat. In a world full of people with problems, she was a girl with solutions. She cherished her friends, never betrayed them, and left a ray of sunshine behind her.
I know there is a special desk and chair for Diane up there in the school of Heaven, and St. Peter might have to tell her to stop talking once in a while, but they’re gonna love having her in the room.
