Delores Ginn

She struck a pose in every picture; Dee should have been a movie star. She wouldn’t leave the house unless she was dressed to the nines, shoes and hat always matching. Dee did more than sell Avon; she modeled their products around the clock. She always had a song in her and she sang just about everywhere: for the U.S.O., Haddonfield Plays and Players and the Music Crafters, the Collingswood Chorus, St. Peter’s Choir, on the beach in Atlantic City or in her home next to her piano. She could cook just about anything; Dee’s Kugel and beef stroganoff were tops. She made specialty cakes long before Cake Boss even existed. Dee liked a good party and was known to enjoyed a Vodka Gimlet or two. She’d gather her clan together and take her grandkids to Ocean City for the week. Later years found her doing some travelling; Ireland, Austria, Germany and Scotland. Dee was game for any bus trip.
She was the wife of the late Lewis Ginn and mother of Sandy Carhart and the late Janice (Jerald) Chicone. She was grandmother of Joseph (Kathy) Biluck Jr., Sandy (Mike) Schaefer, Robert (Patty) Biluck and Nicole (Walt) Chicone-Shively; great grandmother of 10; sister of Donald McCabe, Betty Kain, and Kay Gamble; and is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Terrance McCabe; her parents Patrick and Myrtle McCabe and her granddaughter, Barbara Biluck.

Come celebrate 89 great years Monday 8-10 a.m. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Peter’s Church, Riverside. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.

    Dear Sandy and family,
I will always remember your Mother as the beautiful lady that worked at Kirshner’s. It’s funny how we can still see some people in our minds. She made an impression on me years ago. May she rest in peace now, and keep singing in heaven. You were a good daughter. I hope that God’s healing love surrounds the whole family..
    Love, Lynn (Hannum) Fiorelli

Dee was a gem. We go way way back. Loved singing next to her at local piano bars. Loved having her in my shows. Loved doing her hair. Always a fun time in Dee’s company. I will miss her.
