Bernice Shay

If you knew Bernice, you knew that she loved and valued her family above all else. She always made sure that her home was a happy and safe place for her children and when her grandkids came along she was always involved. She loved attending their sporting events and was always available for babysitting. She was always up for anything and she let her grandkids set the agenda. They even had their choice of meals and it was the only time she didn’t mind a mess. She spoiled everyone with angel food cake, brownies, and pound cake. Bernice would often shake her head while watching the Eagles.rnrnShe was the wife of the late Joseph and is survived by her sons, Alfred (Joanne) Shay and John (Amy) Pike; her grandchildren: Patrick and Michael Shay, Julia Pike and Hailey and Kate Scott; her Garofolo Family and long time friends, Eleanor Clussus and Connie Laverty. She was pre-deceased by her father, Charles Gilbert Young, step-mother Viola Pauline Young and her brothers, Alfred, Charles and Pfc.
