Barbara L. O’Brien

Barbara L. O’Brien

Barbara was a survivor from her earliest days. Born premature and not supposed to live, her mother’s loving care gave her 79 great years. If her T.V was on she’d be watching the History Channel and We TV. With the History Channel she’d be looking for more information about the Civil War. On We TV she’d be watching Bewitched and all the other oldies. The First Saturday in May found her glued to the Kentucky Derby. She loved the Royals and everything English, especially Queen Elizabeth. From early morning she’d be listening to Dave Clark 5. And she was a dog lover; for many years her beagle, Sandy, was by her side. She was a cashier at Kmart, sold Amway products and was the assistant to the secretary at St. Joseph’s School, Swedesboro.
Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Edith O’Brien (nee Holvick) and sister to the late, John Jr. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathleen O’Brien; her nephews, Kevin, Shawn (Lindsay) and John; her niece, Heather Arvey (Michael;) her cousins, Marjorie Copeland and Aimee Shute and her aide, Mimose, who was with her for ten years, Monday through Friday.
Come celebrate 79 great years Friday October 27, 10 to 11 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio. Graveside service to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Woolwich. Donations to Charity of the Donor’s Choice will be appreciated.
