April Bigwood

April Bigwood

She never let the little things bother her: “So what? Who cares” was April’s motto. “ Let your stress free, it’s not good” she’d tell everyone. She always had a habit of putting her family first. Even through the ups and downs of her illness no one ever heard her complain. She was usually more concerned with making sure that her family and friends were ok and not herself. April loved her events with Butsie, her best friend of over 50 years. Christmas was her holiday: she was glad to wrap everyone’s’ presents. April was the cool Aunt: her nieces and nephews were showered with gifts.

She is survived by her parents, Thelma and William Bigwood; siblings, Barbara (George) Downing, John (Lynne) Bigwood, Steven (Donna) Bigwood, and Garry Bigwood, Brother and Sister in law, Robert Wilson, and Dawn Steedle Bigwood. She was predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth Wilson, William Harold Bigwood III, Harold William Bigwood, and William Bigwood. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Come celebrate 61 great years Thursday 6-8 P.M. and Friday 10-11 A.M. at Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside, where there will be a service at 11 A.M. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 (www.cancer.org ).
