Dorothy – Bintliff

Dorothy BintliffrnrnShe was fiercely independent: you could tell her what you thought she should do, but be assured, she’d be choosing her own path. She figured that at the age of 96 she’d earned the right and she lived on her own until the end. Her feisty nature probably came from her upbringing on the farm. For years she was well known for her work at W.T. Grants Department Store in the curtain department. Later years found her selling yarn for the JBC Yarn Co. In her spare time she was a Chaplain for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Trinity Church, Delran. She knitted Afghans for her grandkids and loved crossword puzzles.rnShe was the wife of the late Robert and is survived by her daughters Donna(Jeff)Reil and Lynne(James)Griffin, 3 grandsons Robert (Coleen)Griffin Kevin(Christine)Griffin and Wayne(Sarah)Griffin and 4 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way), many nieces and nephews and her good friend, Emma Kain. Pre-deceased by her brother Henry Freck.rnCome celebrate 96 great years (2-5-1914 to 9-19-2010) 1 p.m. Monday October 4 at Oddfellows Cemetery, Burlington.
