Patricia F. Bowker
Patricia F. Bowker, née Padula, of Delran, NJ passed away peacefully at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the age of 91 years.
Patricia was born on June 27, 1934, educated at Our Lady of Good Counsel School, and as she’d jokingly say, at the “real” Moorestown High School on N. Church Street in Moorestown. After graduating, she worked at NJ Bell Telephone in Merchantville before meeting and marrying her husband of 48 years, James Bowker. After staying home to raise their six children, Pat was employed part-time in retail at Moorestown Mall and then at South Jersey Physical Therapy in Cherry Hill. Once grandchildren came along, she made the selfless choice to let little ones take over her home as a babysitter. She became “Mom-Mom B” to as many as 50 children of family and friends over several years. When not taking care of everyone else, you could find her at a local yard sale, shopping at Target, or attending Mass at Resurrection Parish, where she was a founding member and devoted attendee. Pat faithfully served an hour each week at the Adoration Chapel up until last year, and prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed singing in both the church choir and the Cinnaminson Community Chorus several years ago. She most loved to be with her family and watch her children and grandchildren play sports for Delran. Pat loved rooting on the Philly sports teams, especially the Phillies, even after shutting them off in frustration when they would start losing. No one should wonder from where her family got their competitiveness.
Patricia was predeceased by her loving husband, James, her dear son, Leo, and her beloved parents, Romeo and Florence Padula. She is survived by her devoted children: Timothy (Christine), Christopher (Sandra), Douglas, Eileen Rafferty (Jeffrey), Marianne Ahrens (David), and daughter-in-law, Joanne. She also leaves six grandchildren: Maureen Tofani (Anthony), Kevin Bowker (Heather), Matthew and Colin Rafferty, Sean and Riley Ahrens, along with one great-grandson, Theodore Bowker. She will be greatly missed by Chloe, her family and many friends.
Visitation is Monday, February 16, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Site, 260 Conrow Road, Delran. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am. Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery on Camden Avenue in Moorestown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Resurrection Parish at the above address or Samaritan Hospice at SamaritanNJ.org/giving in Patricia’s memory.
