Nicole Lombardo

In Loving Memory.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nicole Lombardo, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who left us far too soon after a courageous battle with cancer. Nicole was the strongest of warriors as she bravely battled for her life, until she took her very last breath. She passed away surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Born with a heart full of warmth and a smile that could light up any room, Nicole shared her life for 32 wonderful years with her husband, Joe, and together they built a beautiful marriage of 28 years. When Joe took her to meet his family they knew from the twinkle in his eye that she was the one. She was the proud wife of Joe and devoted mom of two amazing kids: her daughter, Gianna, and her son, Joey, who were her entire world. There was no doubt that for Nicole, family came first.

Nicole found joy in everything that surrounded her. She loved spending time with her family in Ocean City, NJ, the place that made her the happiest. She enjoyed her summer long stay at her cozy bungalow in Marmora, NJ with toasty campfires while watching the Phillies, playing competitive Bingo games, late night swimming, long days on the beach, and strolls on the boardwalk.

Nicole loved cooking and baking. She bonded with Gianna over her love of preparing meals and baking sweet treats where they spent many days and nights in the kitchen together. She made the best barbecue shrimp and beef burgundy and was always working on some new recipe. She also made the best chocolate chip cookies and fudge brownies. On Sundays, while the boys were watching football, Nicole and Gianna enjoyed lunch and went on shopping sprees together.

Nicole and her family enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas. The Grinch was her favorite movie, but she was hardly a Grinch: her home was always the most decorated on the block for Christmas. She was endlessly crafty, creating her own decorations and displays. She adored snowy days, hot coffee, Hallmark movies, warm cookies, and everything merry and bright.

She was also a familiar face in the Logan Township School District, first as a dedicated bus driver and later as a teacher’s aide. Her kindness, patience, and sense of humor touched the lives of so many students and teachers.

Most of all, Nicole was her children’s biggest fan cheering from the sidelines at soccer fields and baseball diamonds, beaming with pride at every play. She was also the biggest supporter of her husband, through many years of protecting and serving the community and standing proudly next to him at his promotions. Her love for her family was fierce and unshakable.

Nicole fought bravely, lived fully, and loved deeply and that’s how she will always be remembered.

A celebration of Nicole’s life will be held at Daley Life Celebration Studio on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Friends and family may gather from 9 – 11 a.m. The celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m., where family and friends can share stories, laughter, and love just as she would have wanted.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
