Albert Geller

In Loving Memory of Albert Geller
Al Geller, 86, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Anne (née Wagner), with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Gayle (Kevin), Jill (John), and Lisa (Michaël).

Al was the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren: Brittany (Kyle), Dana (Connor), Kenny, Kyle (Mariela), Eric (Nicolette), Olivia (Roberto), Patrick (Elena), Joey (Rebekah), Marissa, and Erin. He was also the cherished great-grandfather of “The Great Eight”: Mila, Margo, Croia, Clare, Leonel, Rosalie, Jade, and Sloan.

Born on January 4, 1940, Al grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School in 1958. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan, and is survived by his beloved siblings Edward, Jimmy (Kathy), Joseph, Nancy (John), and George (Monique). He was also a special brother-in-law to Joe (Phyllis) and Joy (Jim).

Al married the love of his life, Anne, on May 12, 1962. Together, they raised their three daughters in Bellmawr, where their home became a gathering place for family, especially during Christmas celebrations with their extended family. Al was always willing to lend a helping hand and often volunteered his time and talents to make repairs at Annunciation School, where his daughters attended.

Al worked for Gulf Oil for 20 years, but his true passion was working with his hands. A self-taught carpenter and woodworker, he loved home remodeling and renovations and spent many years restoring Victorian homes in Cape May. He created beautiful clocks, coffee tables, shelves, and holiday decorations. Even in his final days, Al was putting his skills and love into making Christmas manger scenes for his grandchildren—a lasting gift that will be treasured for years to come.

For nearly 40 years, Al shared his love of boating and fishing with his family. He and Anne cherished their years at Mill Creek Marina in Cape May, where they made countless memories until 2023. In honor of his sobriety, Al named each of his boats “Serenity,” a meaningful reflection of an important part of his life.

When he wasn’t at the shore, Al could often be found in his beloved workshop or garage, creating, building, and fixing things. He especially loved the model train set he built for his grandchildren, bringing joy to the next generation through something made with his own hands.

Above all, Al treasured his family. His legacy lives on in the traditions he created, the skills he passed down, the memories made on the water, the Christmases spent together, and the countless things he built with love.

Come celebrate 86 great years of Al’s life on Friday, November 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Daley Life Celebration Studio in Swedesboro. An 11 a.m. Storytime Service will follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. at Incarnation Church in Mantua.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the food pantry at Incarnation Church in Mantua.

Al will be deeply missed and forever loved by the family he cherished so dearly.
