Robert Leonard Haines Sr.

In Loving Memory of Robert Leonard Haines Sr.,
Robert Leonard Haines (also known as “Pop”), a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Marine, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at the age of 77.

Robert was born in Camden, grew up in Gibbsboro and went to Eastern High School. In 1969 he joined the Marine Corps. He trained as a combat engineer, went to land mine warfare school in Quang Tri and served in Vietnam. He was a proud United States Marine and honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. He came home with an honorable discharge, the Vietnam Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Once a Marine, always a Marine. His service was an important part of who he was, and he carried that pride throughout his life.

His family and friends were his greatest love. He was a devoted father and stepfather, a loving grandfather and great grandfather, brother and shared a special bond with his significant other. His family meant the world to him, and his love for his children and grandchildren will remain one of his greatest legacies.
He found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved hunting and fishing, riding motorcycles, pickup trucks, and listening to classic rock—especially Fleetwood Mac. These passions, along with the memories made with family and friends, will forever remind those who loved him for the man he was.

Above all, he was a good man with a generous heart. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He never hesitated to help others, and his kindness, loyalty, and caring nature touched the lives of many.
He will be deeply missed by his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
