Mary Catherine Fenimore

Mary Catherine Fenimore

Mary C. “Kitten” FenimorernMary was never wrinkled with burden, her church gave her a daily faith lift. Come what may, her faith in the Lord saw her through any situation. But her love of the church was always apparent; in good times and in bad. Nothing made her happier or more fulfilled than her time serving as the cook for the rectory at St. Peter’s. This was never her job, it was her passion. rnAlthough she adored St. Peter’s Church, the town of Riverside was a close second. It was more than just a town, for Mary it was a community. Even until recently Mary still stayed close with “the girls”, with whom she had been a cheerleader during her days as a student at Riverside High. Her home reflected this as well. Come Christmas time she always found a new theme for her tree. It wasn’t uncommon for it to be decorated with angels, apples or even ice cream cones.rnAlways a warm and loving mother, Mary’s life has been blessed by her children: Mary C. Rowan (Edward) of Riverside, Kenneth R. (Judith) of Mt. Laurel, Tim (Tracy) of Audubon and the late Theodore, as well as by her grandchildren: Kevin Rowan, Boz T. Fenimore (Joanne), Patrick Rowan, Kenneth E. Fenimore (Song), Kelliann Fenimore, Timmy Fenimore and the late Eddie Rowan and was again blessed by her great-grandson Damien Nuzzi.rnCome celebrate Mary’s 88 wonderful years (Sept. 18, 1924-Dec. 15, 2012) Wednesday from 9-10 AM at the Sweeney Funeral Home, Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM at Jesus the Good Shepherd Church (St. Peter’s Site), Riverside. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Githen’s Center 40 Cedar St. Mt. Holly, NJ 08060rn

Mrs. Fenimore,nnYou were a great woman, neighbor and human being. Thank you for being there when my grandmother Edith was passing. You helped me to deal with it and move on at such a young age. In addition, you were my sponsor for my Holy Communion. Your faith in God set a positive example for me through very trying times of my life. Thank you.nnBrett R. McLaughlin
